So you're thinking of getting married at one of THE most stunning venues in all of California, huh? Whether you're wanting a quick elopement or an extravagant wedding on the grand staircase, there are a bit more rules and procedures to follow to securing your marriage license there and a spot for a ceremony than one might think. Read on to find out more about how to have your special moment in this amazing location!
**Prices are subject to change and vary depending on additional ceremonies or rehearsal to be added & location of ceremony.
A marriage license with your new last name does not automatically mean you've changed it. You shouldn't change your name before the honeymoon, because your new name has to match all travel documents, most importantly, your passport -- processing name changes on passports generally takes anywhere from four to six weeks.
"Jaimee was a wonderful officiant! She is full of energy and vitality, and she really connected with us. Jaimee helped us personalize our wedding ceremony and sent us drafts for our review. We were able to write our own vows, and Jaimee took the sentiment we desired and wove it into every part of our ceremony. Her delivery was flawless and she also has a great sense of humor. We were honored to have Jaimee Hinman as our officiant."
The wedding season is year round, but there are many parts of the year that are much busier than the rest. For this reason, its highly recommended that you reserve your wedding officiant as soon as you start to plan for your wedding, to secure the date. Even if you haven't decided on the place yet, finding the right officiant will be extremely important if you want to ensure that the right dynamic and mood for your wedding is what you've always dreamt it should be. For this reason alone, I strongly recommend each couple submit an initial inquiry by clicking the link below with all the required information. I will check my calendar and get back to you either through email or phone call, whatever you prefer. Ceremony dates are secured on a first come, first serve basis.
Once we determine that both my availability is open and you wish to hire me for your wedding, I require an initial deposit of 50% of the total ceremony package fee. Some couples prefer to pay for my fee all at once to get it out of the way but this is entirely optional. Once the deposit is made, I submit a more detailed questionnaire, email sample vows and a sample ceremony, and schedule our Complimentary Consultation. Invoices will be sent along with a confirmation email of your secured wedding date and contract. Invoices can be paid with either MasterCard/Visa/Discover/AmEx or your PayPal Account.
Elopement Packages are not eligible for full customization. Aside from a few personal details I may include about the couple, if they wish to have a fully customized ceremony, the ceremony package will automatically be upgraded to a small ceremony under 100 guests. A rehearsal is strongly recommended but not always needed nor required. Sometimes, the venue will have an onsite coordinator to assist with the ceremony proceedings at the venue. However, if your wedding is lengthy and has additional ceremonies within the main ceremony, i.e. union candle, sand ceremony, communion, etc., then I suggest to book the rehearsal as well. I am flexible with the rehearsal date if the couple is unsure of the necessity or location at the time of booking but I will followup with the couple if my schedule becomes busy and will give the couple first priority booking for 1-2 days prior to their wedding date before I book another ceremony on their possible rehearsal date.
I am a Non-Denominational Minister who mainly performs modern ceremonies that can be customized to include inter-faith elements that demonstrate the values and customs that the couple holds precious to themselves and want to perform in the ceremony. Couples I serve choose me because I honor their values, listen to their needs, and make sure that I include all the details and rites of passage that would help them to create a perfect wedding ceremony. I am meticulously detailed and a hopeless perfectionist! I make sure every ceremony has something personal and sentimental and is always infused with warmth and genuineness.
Unlimited phone call and email support for the duration of the contract. (408) 314-5084

Its required by the State of California to obtain a marriage license within 90 days of your planned wedding date. A license is not the same as a certificate. The license, if you will, is much like asking permission and/or declaring your intent to marry. A certificate is issued only after your wedding ceremony has taken place. You can obtain a license to marry from within any county in CA so long as you are having a 'public' ceremony. Don't know the difference? Read on to find out more...
